Who doesn’t like sandwich? Simple but various way to get awesomeness between two slices of bread.
My friend had invited me & family to her house for lunch, and she had made veggie grilled sandwiches & soup. This sandwich was so tasty and amazing, it reminded me of the street sandwich of India. So off course, I couldn’t help but asked what was in it. When she mentioned all the ingredients, I knew I had to make this sandwich. Now, my husband and I made this sandwich so many times, each time trying something different for taste twist, but finally settled on this recipe, which makes a yummy sandwich for taste buds.
In India, street food is very popular. Among the many street food varieties, there is endless list of different sandwiches to choose from. This Veggie Grilled Sandwich is one of my favorites. The street vendors take pride in offering the most tongue-tickling treats of all, and this sandwich is no different.
A loaded and delicious vegetable grilled sandwich recipe, which is both healthy and tasty. This sandwich is made with many different variations when it comes to choosing the vegetable options. I used some of the common vegetable for this recipe, like cucumber, onion, capsicum, carrot, and beetroot. Also, the addition of the fresh green chutney and Amul cheese makes this sandwich truly delicious. It’s an exceptionally easy vegetable sandwich recipe that can be made in just 15-20 minutes. The sandwich is so simple, and very tasty, so you can enjoy anytime of the day.
Hope you prepare and enjoy this recipe. I will add the recipe for the cilantro and mint chutney soon.

Notes
- I used Amul Cheese which is popular indian cheese brand, and it taste really good with this kind of sandwiches. But you can substitute with Pepper Jack cheese to get similar taste.
- I used Maggie Hot & Sweet tomato ketchup which are sold in Indian grocery stores here in USA. But you can substitute with regular tomato ketchup.
- Bread quality is very important when making this sandwich. The sandwich will taste the best when used bread like sourdough, italian or home style white bread.
